The Red Series

Both autobiographical and aspirational, this series uses the color red to express religious fears regarding personal power and sensuality while projecting my internal struggles with identity. I explore the significance of red through a collection of self-portraits, where models stand in for myself and masquerade as parts of my identity, who I wish I could have been, or possibilities of who I could become.  This work mixes the divine with the damned. It reaches towards a spirituality that shrouds the models in my power, the costumes acting as wearable manifestations of my energy.
